The largest city in the South Island,
Christchurch is fondly known as "the Garden City". Christchurch, the gateway to
the South Island, lives up to its English heritage with many punting boats
drifting up and down the tree-lined Avon River. The South Islands largest
international airport, make this city your ideal starting point to the South's
many scenic attractions and towns. From here you can start your self drive
holiday using our maps provided. The Island can be toured in as little as one
week, but we recommend two weeks to do it justice. We also recommend you stay
three nights to experience this cities vibrant flavour.
The Christchurch New Zealand region offers all
